3 tablespoons butter
30 pearl onions, blanched in boiling water 2 minutes, drained, peeled
1/3 cup water

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Melt butter in large oven-proof skillet over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden, about 12 minutes. Stir in 1/3 cup water. Transfer skillet to oven and cook until onions are tender and glazed, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer to bowl and serve.
