Make anything taste like your favorite bagel with a sprinkle of this savory mix of poppy seeds, onion, garlic, sesame seeds, and salt.

    Makes about 3/4 cup spice mix

Ingredients

3 Tbsp. poppy seeds
3 Tbsp. sesame seeds
2 Tbsp. dried minced garlic
2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
3 Tbsp. coarse salt

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Heat poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic, and onion in a small skillet over medium and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant and lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a heat proof bowl and stir in salt. Let cool completely then transfer to a resealable container.
