Quick Basil Mayo

This simple, basil-spiked mayo is one of my favorite variations on the basic recipe. It’s an easy way to add creamy pesto flavor to sandwiches and dips.

  1. Place 1 cup your favorite or Homemade Mayonnaise (recipe above) in a blender or food processor. Add 8 to 10 fresh basil leaves, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and puree until smooth. Refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to use, or for up to 1 week.
